About the Massage Therapist/Ayurvedic Practitioner
Blue Owl Bodyworks was created from Heidi's energetic connection to the healing color blue along with her life-long fascination with the wisdom and beauty of owls and their innate ability to see into the dark. Heidi looks deeply to find the cause of a client's symptoms and comes up with a plan of treatment for each client's individual needs to relieve pain and stress in the body and mind.
Heidi is a graduate of the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine with a concentration in Swedish Massage, Sports Massage and Shiatsu and is a graduate of New World Ayurveda with an Ayurvedic Practitioners Certificate. Heidi also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ithaca College and has taken graduate coursework in anatomy and physiology from West Virginia University. She has a deep knowledge of how the human body functions and its ability to heal itself through massage, alternative bodywork and Ayurveda.
Heidi is the founder and creator of Love Wide Open. Love Wide Open is a way of life. By learning to love and heal ourselves through compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and empathy, we are then able to love other living beings the same way.
